This is a poem written by a young woman who used the title of my main page as her inspiration. She shared it with me on IRC, and I want to share it with all of you.
In my life I have struggled and I have failed
but I always got back up
I want people to remember me for never giving up
I went through my life being someone I'm not
pleasing others was always on top
for fear of rejection was very high
I hid myself and my fears far inside
I kept repeating to myself
one day I am going to drop this made up character
and be one person, myself!
Slowly the fear started to fade away
and the real me began to give way
A little lesson I have learned along the way
'Be proud of who you are for that is something no one can take away'
